The Glorious Year of 2014

Since 2014 was so epic for Nick and me, and because our blog site, Word Press, offers this cool “Year in Review,” I figured I’d sum up our travels and whatnot into one tidy post.

Here’s a map that shows all the states we managed to visit in 2014. Somehow we missed Oklahoma….

Map of USA for Newsletter

Here’s a summary of all the national parks we visited in 2014 plus a couple of the monuments. I also listed the states where they are located, and I marked both Nick and my favorites. While we didn’t see Yosemite in 2014, it still remains a top location for both of us (in case you’re wondering).

Yellowstone NP (Wyoming-mostly, Nick & Kim)

Grand Teton NP  (Wyoming)

Olympic NP (Washington, Kim)

North Cascades NP  (Washington)

Zion NP (Utah)

Joshua Tree NP (California)

Lassen NP (California)

Death Valley NP (California)

Rocky Mountain NP (Colorado)

Carlsbad Caverns NP (New Mexico)

White Sands NM (New Mexico)

Guadalupe NP (Texas)

Big Bend NP (Texas, Kim)

Crater Lake NP (Oregon)

Saguaro NP (Arizona)

Grand Canyon NP (Arizona, Nick)

Petrified Forest NP (Arizona, Nick)

Chiricahua NM (Arizona)

Montezume Castle NM (Arizona)

Now for the WordPress addition of our year in review. It even shows what countries viewed our blog this year. 🙂

Here’s an excerpt:

A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 2,900 times in 2014. If it were a cable car, it would take about 48 trips to carry that many people.

Cheers to a new year and a new path…… Thanks for being along for the ride!
